Ryedale Travel

Arctic Norway

As a service company our only real asset is our staff. We employ 30 experienced staff whose average length of service with the company is in excess of 15 years. Their experience within the industry is greater still.

Our staff are encouraged to travel at every opportunity and  many are accredited destination specialists. To achieve this status they are required to complete a course of study - usually organised by the various Tourist Boards. They must also complete a certain number of familiarisation trips to the destination both to initially acquire and then retain, their professional advisor status.

Most clients prefer to build a personal relationship with a particular staff member but a number of our staff have a particular area of expertise eg cruise, golf, ski etc and so on occasions you may be passed to a colleague who is better equipped to handle your enquiry.

Our staff have cruised with many of the world’s leading cruise lines. They have skied throughourt Europe and beyond, played golf worldwide, walked with penguins, watched polar bears and whales, tracked tigers, swum with dolphins and got married in Las Vegas.

If you have ever wondered what it would be like to experience temperatures of minus 120 degrees centigrade in the cryotherapy chamber at Aquacity in Poprad Slovakia or plummet down the Sigulda championship bobsleigh track behind a driver from the Latvian national team, we can tell you, and what’s more we can arrange for you to do the same. It’s worth noting that all the photographs on this site were taken by Ryedale Travel staff.

Space constraints do not allow travel brochures to provide all the necessary information relevant to a particular destination or activity. Our staff have visited all seven continents and can often greatly improve the holiday experience by telling you what the brochure does not - good or bad
