Your Protection

Financial protection for holidaymakers booking in the UK is provided by The Association of British Travel Agents (ABTA) and the Civil Aviation Authority through its Air Travel Operators Licence (ATOL).

Overseas air travel is protected by the CAA through its ATOL arrangements. Ryedale Travel acts as agent for ATOL holders and where this is the case we must issue an ATOL receipt showing the name of the ATOL holder and their ATOL number. Your contract is with the ATOL holder and in the event of the licence holders failure you will be recompensed by the Civil Aviation Authority.

Ryedale Travel is bonded by ABTA (53402) and in the event of the company's failure clients would be reimbursed by ABTA..

Package holidays and charter flights are protected by ATOL but scheduled flights are not. All clients travelling on scheduled fares are strongly advised to ensure that they are covered by insurance should the carrier fail.

Where we have booked separate arrangements on your behalf eg flight, accommodation, car hire, these items do not constitute a ‘package’ as defined by the Package Travel Regulations 1992. In this instance your contract will be with the individual suppliers not Ryedale Travel and you will be subject to their individual terms and conditions.
